Pakistan can bounce back in 2nd ODI, warns Henry Nicholls

NELSON (Dunya News) - New Zealand batsman Henry Nicholls has warned his teammates that Pakistan can bounce back in the second one-day international (ODI) to level the series.

The left-hander suggested that the Kiwis should not take the visitors lightly as their team consists of match winning individuals who recently won ICC Champions Trophy as well. He predicted that Pakistan will show more fighting spirit in Nelson, but was also hopeful for New Zealand's good performance.

Nicholls said the Green Shirts could not perform well in the first ODI and that was not expected from them. He maintained that teams will learn from their mistakes in every match as it is a long series consisting of five ODIs, and Pakistan will also do that.

Talking about his collision with Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir, Nicholls said it was not intentional and he was thinking to take two runs at that time. Both players luckily were not injured.

The second ODI will be played at Nelson's Saxton Oval on Tuesday at 03:00 AM (PST). New Zealand had defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in the first match and the hosts now lead the series 1-0.
